    Update on 2nd November 2020 11:13am

    As we will need to reinstall OS for the server punggol.apc.sg and perform a full restore estimated to take up to 30 hours. 

    For clients who wish to take up another option to restore to another plesk server with a different ip instead kindly let us know at support@apc.sg.

    Take note this means there will be changes to your DNS records and may take up to 24-48 hours for the DNS propagation. Although locally it may be faster 2-4 hours for the DNS propagation after the restore to the other plesk server with a different ip.

    The last backup we have to perform the restore would be on 31st October 2020.

    Our engineers have initiated the restore onto the server. We will provide an update once the process is completed.

  • Currently we are facing a server outage on 124.6.61.96 punggol.apc.sg as of  08:00am (+8 GMT) and we are proceeding with the server restore which is estimated to take one working day. Initial check is due to server compromised and we will be working with Plesk engineers to take further action.

    Meanwhile we can create temporary new hosting accounts on our alternative Windows Plesk servers, for customers to setup their emails accounts/website temporarily to function (you are required to recreate your email accounts and upload your websites). If you require the temporarily account, please kindly email us at support@apc.sg to request it. Kindly note these temporary hosting accounts will be removed after 124.6.61.96 punggol.apc.sg has completed its server restore from our server backup dated 30th May 2020.

    This is to update that the restoration is in progress and will be completed by 5th Jun 2020, 8.00am (+8 GMT). Temporary hosting accounts created will be removed once the restore is completed, to avoid any conflict in data. Please ensure you remove all required emails and data from the temporary accounts by 5th Jun 2020, 6.00am (+8 GMT).

    We have identified the server compromised due to a vulnerability in one of the Plesk components. We have therefore taken actions and performed patching for all Windows Plesk servers hosted with us. More information can be found below.

    We discovered there is OS corruption. Due to the OS corruption, the server is doing a consistency check on the RAID. We are doing our best to finish the check to get the server back to usual.

    We sincerely apologize that though our engineers have tried their best but due to this OS corruption causing inaccessiblility to everything on the server, there is no way we can access any data on the server, and therefore we will be proceeding to restore from the last backup we have on 15th Mar to avoid further downtime.

    Currently we are facing a server outage on 124.6.61.130 (kovan.apc.sg) as of 8:45am (+8 GMT). Server has been rebooted and recovered as of 9:28am (+8 GMT) with all services running with the exception of web services. We have reported to our vendor and is troubleshooting the issue urgently.

    We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused.

    Update on 6th January 10:12am (+8GMT):
    Web services has been recovered as of 9:53am (+8GMT) and all services are up and running.

    Reason for Outage
    Identified cause of web service failure and steps taken to prevent similar occurrence. NIC card abnormalities were also observed causing network issue which was resolved by rebooting server. Due to first occurrence of NIC card abnormalities we are monitoring further.

    Update on 10th Aug 2016, 7.00PM

    We faced a network outage as of 5.45pm (+8 GMT) and immediately took action at 6.00pm. After which there was still some intermittent network connectivity issues. However as of 6.40pm full network service was restored. We will provide more details once our investigations are completed.

    Reason for Outage

    We have investigated the reason for the network outage which happens earlier today. It was due to a large DDoS attack on our network. Although mitigation has swiftly taken place within 15 minutes of the attack, the mitigation did not work well, resulting in intermittent outage still. After some further mitigation fine-tuning, network was finally fully recovered at 6.40PM.

    We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by this attack and will be taking this seriously to improve our mitigation effectiveness, even though it is the first time that our DDoS protection did not work as intended.

    We will be working with our DDoS mitigation provider to ensure our migitation works promptly and effectively to prevent such a long delay in the future again.
